I never noticed until this morning at 5:30 while watching videos on tv that ENRIQUE had the mole on his face removed... I googled it and sure enough, he had it removed back in '03. He's SUPER HOT, with or without, but I have to say... it's LESS distracting and nicer to see him without the planet on his face... GO ENRIQUE!!!!!

As promised... Pirate cupcakes!

So, we delivered the cupcakes this afternoon... They turned out pretty good. Thanks to Mira and Anne for the recommending to put the other string on the eye patch.. I should have consulted my picture model before doing the fondant pirates.. Oh well, there's always NEXT time... I think I will practice making more pirates...

I'm such a sucker for a good comedie musicale -- especially if it's de Kamel Ouali...  I LOVE THIS GUY!! I saw Le Roi Soleil twice!  I am going to get my tickets soon.. Pirate cupcakes for kids birthday party

I think this is how I was supposed to do the eye patch.. WHOOPS!!!! Next time!












My first attempt EVER at using fondant. It's like sweet playdough for adults (bakers). It's fun and easy to use... You should have a knack for art.. or at least for being somewhat artistic/creative... I'm in the middle.. I'm going to practice some more but here is my first try...

I'll take a picture of the final result... Next I'm going to make chocolate ganache for the frosting... Ciao!!

Hedgehog night...

Tonight at around 7:55 pm, I saw a hedgie running for the street-- granted, it's just a small street, but I didn't want him to be crepe-ified so I shooed him back into a quiet spot.. I actually picked him up with my scarf and he was all balled up so the quills were sticking out... But, he (she) was soooo cute.. I really want one... 

Young Smokers in France...

I don't know what it is... I don't like people smoking around me.. cuz it REALLY gets on my asthma... and I detest the odor... But... when I see a young person (teenager) smoking a cigarette, I just want to go up to them and say, "What, are you all of 12 years old? You're too young to smoke, what are you thinking?!!"  Not that there is an age one SHOULD smoke.. it's just that these are KIDS, for Pete's sake... Don't they know what they are doing to themselves???  Anyhow.. That's what I feel like every time I see a young smoker...
