Almost caught in crossfire!!!

We spent a fabulous day sight seeing in San Francisco today with my brother and sis-in-law.   We ended it at an Indian resto in No. Beach and around 9:30 ish, Josh and I left the resto to go get the car, which was parked on a side street about 5 minutes away.... 

We got around the corner when we heard 4 loud pops- I thought it was firecrackers but Josh let out, "Hey Leesa, get back!  It's gunshots!!" So, we turned around and ran back around the corner to where the resto was...

What turned out was that a guy was shot and went down in the middle of the street... We called 911 immediately and when my bro was on the phone with 911, the cops were already arriving at the scene and started saving the guy.  So, sad.... It seemed to be gang related.  We ended up going to get the car and by the time we were starting down the street, there were already about 6 cop cars and the ambulances were arriving, as well... 

We were almost caught in the middle of all of this, but because I went to the restroom a moment earlier... luckily, we weren't in the middle of all of it... which we would have been!
