Sadness hits home

Just learned of some very sad news this morning.  An old college buddy, David White, (aka Zook) just passed away on Friday morning.  He was just diagnosed about 10 days ago with a dilated aorta and was preparing to have surgery in just a few days.  I was reading his blog here, and he contracted pneumonia (he thinks as a result of the stressful news) and then passed away of congestive heart failure.  I sometimes forget how fragile life is at times.  

I hadn't seen my friend, Zook since we graduated from UCSD, it's been many, many years and we had just reconnected through Facebook a few months ago.  I am deeply saddened by his passing. It really breaks my heart.  Rest in Peace, dear Zook.  Many prayers to your dear wife, daughter, friends and family.  I know how much they loved you and how much you will be missed.
