My VERY FIRST time making the traditional "Galette des rois" for Épiphanie, which falls on
Jan 6... 12 days after Christmas. It's a tradition here in France to eat a galette and inside there
is a favor, or féve, and for whoever finds it in their piece, they become the "king" or "queen" for
the day! I was here in 1990, and celebrated this for the first time with friends.
I am adopting French traditions and incorporating them into my life here in France! I think it's
great to be an immigrant and assimilate into my new culture!
Inside is a frangipane filling with chocolate au praline and pears!
