A happy 'reconnection' on FB!

As a teacher, I often think about the students I've had over the years (more than 20) and wonder how the turned out and what became of them...

Well, I actually 'found' a former student of mine - back from '89 or '90' when I was a teacher's aid for a third grade class. He was one of my favourites- because of his 'challenging' bahaviour. I just heard back from him on FB today and the message he sent brought the tears rolling down my cheeks...

Wow!!! It's really and truly amazing how we can 'reconnect' with people from the long ago past on FB!

Here is the first message I sent to him and what he wrote back-

I was looking at old pictures of my students and was wondering

if you went to Doyle elementary in the late 80s?
I was a t.a. back then for third grade and I had a student

named Dennis L**... Not sure if that was you... A real terror! hehe!

Hey Leesa,

Yes I did go to Doyle in the 3rd grade. Its so cool you

remember me. I do remember you and I believe you also

sent me a Vincent Van Gogh postcard. Its so good to hear

from you. I can honestly say you were one of the best TA's

I ever had. You did make a positive impact in my life.

And yes I was a terror! Hahaa! I know I was a handful

back then and I have so much respect for the people

that put up with me. Which not to many people could

put up with me. Lol! But I'm doing good now. I am

currently a Program Specialist for C-, a biopharmaceutical

development company in La Jolla. I'm glad you found me

and its so nice to hear from you!
