Apple has announced the next two rollouts for the iPad: one in May and one in July. The first wave will hit Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland, and the UK. Those countries will be able to get their hands on an iPad starting May 28, with online ordering starting May 10.
The second wave of countries will be Austria, Belgium, Hong Kong, Ireland, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, and Singapore. According to Apple, these countries will have access to the iPad in July, but a specific date has not yet been revealed.
Long-sought-after international pricing information is finally available. Prices will begin at CAN$549 for the 16GB WiFi model in Canada while the 3G model will begin at CAN$679. In the UK, the 16GB WiFi model will go for £429 while the 16GB 3G model will go for £529. Australia starts at AUS$629 for the 16GB WiFi model and AUS$799 for the 3G version. Pricing has not yet been announced for the countries that will get the iPad in July.
