His Holiness’ visit to Nantes is to be organised with this in view. He has accepted the invitation of three Tibetan Buddhist centres, which have created a special association in order to host his visit: Océan de Sagesse – Nantes 2008.
The Dalai Lama will be in Nantes from Friday 15 August till Wednesday 20 August 2008.
The event will be scheduled in three stages:
A public talk on the theme “Inner Peace—Universal Peace”.
Four and a half days of teachings on “Bodhichitta”, according to Nagarjuna’s Stanzas on the Middle Way and various other texts.
An empowerment of Padmasambhava, according to a Dharma Treasure revealed by the Fifth Dalai Lama.
